About Rich Smiles Rentals, LLC
We’re a new, locally owned trailer rental business proudly serving Franklin County, PA, Washington County, MD and the surrounding areas.
Rich Smiles Rentals, LLC started with a simple idea — we already had quality trailers on hand, and instead of letting them sit unused when we didn’t need them, we wanted to put them to work helping our neighbors. Our mission is to keep things simple, affordable, and stress-free. We offer dependable equipment, flexible rental options, and friendly, local service. We take pride in supporting our community — because when you rent with us, you’re working with someone who understands the area, values your time, and genuinely wants your project to go smoothly.

How do I reserve a trailer?
Visit our Trailers page, pick a trailer, choose your start and end time, sign the digital rental agreement, and pay securely online. No phone call or in-person visit needed to book.
Can I book same-day?
Yes — same-day reservations are often available, especially at our Greencastle home-base location. Check live availability on the Trailers page to confirm before booking.
Do I need to call to make a reservation?
No. The entire process — selecting a trailer, choosing dates, signing the agreement, and paying — is handled online. If you have a specific question before booking, you can reach out and we will respond quickly.
Can I extend my rental after I have already picked up the trailer?
Extensions may be available depending on availability. Contact us as early as possible if you need more time so we can check whether the trailer is available for the extended period.
What rental periods are available?
We offer hourly, daily (24-hour), weekly (7-day), and monthly (30-day) rentals. Select the period that fits your project when you book online.
How much does it cost to rent a trailer?
Rates vary by trailer and rental duration. Check each listing on the Trailers page for current pricing. We keep rates straightforward with no hidden fees.
Is there a security deposit?
A security deposit may be required depending on the rental. If applicable, it is authorized at checkout and released after the trailer passes the return inspection per the terms in your rental agreement.
Are there any additional fees I should know about?
Fees for damage, excessive cleaning, or late returns may apply as described in the rental agreement.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed securely through Stripe. Cash is accepted for in-person rentals. Checks and prepaid cards are not accepted.
What trailers do you have available?
We rent a 7x14 utility trailer and an 18' Bri-Mar car hauler. Check the Trailers page for live availability and details on each.
What is the size of the utility trailer?
Our utility trailer is 7 feet wide by 14 feet long with ramps, tie-down points, and solid payload capacity. It handles furniture, appliances, landscaping loads, construction materials, and general cleanouts.
What equipment is included with the rental?
Included equipment varies by trailer — check the individual listing for details like ramps, side rails, and tie-down points. Drop hitches are available at no extra charge if you need one.
What hitch ball size do I need?
Most of our trailers use a standard 2-inch or 2‑5/16-inch ball. The required ball size and drop are listed on each individual trailer page. Drop hitches are available at no charge if yours does not match.
Can I rent a car hauler to transport my car to the race track?
Yes. Our 18' Bri-Mar car hauler is a common choice for HPDE events, track days, and weekend racing. Loading your car on the trailer keeps street miles off, protects tires and brakes before your session, and avoids the risk of a breakdown on the drive to the track. View car hauler details and book online.
Can I use a car hauler to move a broken down or disabled car?
Yes. If your car will not start, has a mechanical failure, or is not road-legal, a car hauler is often simpler and cheaper than a tow truck -- and you control where it goes. The low-angle drive-on ramp works for most vehicles. You will need a way to push or winch the car onto the deck, and a truck or SUV capable of pulling the loaded trailer weight. Wheel straps and tie-down chains are included. View car hauler details and check availability.
Where do I pick up the trailer?
Our primary pickup location is the TA Travel Center in Greencastle, PA near I-81 Exit 5. We offer several pickup options — your reservation confirmation will include the exact location details.
Is delivery available?
Yes. Delivery is available to your address for a distance-based fee (starting at $10, plus $3 per mile). The exact cost is calculated automatically when you select delivery during booking. You can also contact us to confirm availability at your address.
How far is the pickup location from Hagerstown or Chambersburg?
Greencastle is roughly 15 minutes from Hagerstown, MD and about 10 minutes from Chambersburg, PA via I-81. We also serve Waynesboro, Martinsburg, and surrounding areas.
Do I need a special license to tow a trailer?
A standard driver's license is sufficient for most utility trailer rentals in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. Always verify your vehicle's tow rating meets or exceeds the loaded trailer weight before you depart.
What does my vehicle need to tow a trailer?
Your vehicle needs a hitch receiver and the correct ball size for the trailer. The trailer's weight rating must not exceed your vehicle's tow capacity. We can advise on hitch requirements when you book.
What do I need to bring when I pick up the trailer?
A valid driver's license and your reservation confirmation. The rental agreement is completed online before pickup so no additional paperwork is required at the location.
